Taking advantage of global lockdowns, Africa Tech Festival, the home of AfricaCOM and AfricaTECH, is racing to produce its second-ever digital event in 2021 by showcasing innovation and promoting debate and discussion that will launch the next billion people on the Internet and in the digital age.
The Africa Tech Festival, along with its two anchor events, AfricaCOM and AfricaTECH, is the largest and most influential technology conference in Africa, featuring more than 300 visionary speakers and over 10 premium conference tracks, each exploring the hottest tech trends in connectivity and enterprise.
The events’ Senior Event Director, Tom Cuthell, and his team have once again drawn on the expertise of more than 300 speakers to inform a global audience about the challenges and opportunities of Africa’s digital transition.

With the event being held online, Cuthell says that they’re glad to be able to continue the discussions with their audience, even though they’re not physically present at the show.
Africa Tech Festival has also been extended to a full five days, which will help attendees plan their sessions.
Moreover, Cuthell adds that the show has now been extended: “Although we miss the physical on-site interaction and debate with our audiences, we are delighted to be able to continue the conversations, albeit virtually this time around.”
”He goes on to share that the show has been extended, saying: “While we miss the face-to-face interaction with our audiences, we’re thrilled to be able to continue the exchanges, albeit virtually.”
With 24 years of experience, AfricaCOM has been at the forefront in uniting tech and talent and shaping how the continent responds to its socioeconomic needs through digital migration.

This year’s event will focus on a variety of topics including: An equitable 4IR for Africa, The evolution of Africa’s telcos – evolutionary trends, Digital Infrastructure Investment, Fair and progressive development supported by policy, governance, and leadership, Green ICT, and sustainable energy.
A new line-up of activities will be added to AfricaTECH 2021, including streams related to emerging technology and enterprise digital transformation on the African continent.
Delegates will be able to discover more about: Building a better digital world, AI for Africa, Cloud and Data Centres, Cyber Security and Data Protection – very hot topics (Fintech, MFS, Blockchain and Crypto) as well as AgTech, HealthTech, EduTech and eCommerce, and IoT Africa.
