Uganda’s leading fashion-forward store Abryanz collection is closing its outlet ‘until further notice’ over Coronavirus
The owner of the Abryanz collection, Brian Ahumuza, has announced the immediate closure of store until further notice over Coronavirus disease COVID-19.
Abryanz collection store has closed “until further notice”, as there was a decline in demand following Uganda’s first coronavirus outbreak and social distancing.
It has already closed its main branch at Garden City Shopping Mall and said it wants to protect the health and well-being of its customers and employees.
The fashion store’s boss announced today on social media.

Abryanz temporary closure occurs on the day that Uganda authorities reported a total of 8 new cases of recent Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday.
At a press conference in the capital, Kampala, Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng disclosed the new statistics.
This raises the cumulative number of Coronavirus cases to 9 in less than three days in Uganda. The new cases were found after 35 samples analyzed on Monday.
Over the weekend Uganda reported it’s first COVID-19 case. The victim, a 36-year-old businessman, reportedly returned from Dubai on Ethiopian Airlines.

Following the shocking news, on Sunday 22 President Museveni spoke to the nation about the country’s ability to deal with the outbreak of viruses.
As a result, Museveni issued a directive which stifled all borders, including the international airport, in the face of concerns that more infected individuals could enter the country and spread the virus further in the world.
For the third time in twelve days, Museveni who spoke to the nation asked Uganda to consider reducing public transportation.

Museveni also called on people who move without justifiable reasons to stay home to limit their chances of becoming infected with the virus.
