The assailants have not been identified as of now, but the investigation is on and his lawyer is working hard with the police to reach the bottom of it.

However, Lifestyle Uganda was able to reach out to Otim Daniel who is out of danger now after emergency response. Danyel confirmed the incident took place.

He was shaken and angry with the possibility of an assault like this could happen to him.

Otim told Lifestyle UG that his fear remains he might be a subject to the popular homophobic attack rising from the makeup photos he always shares.

it was a homophobic attack and I think it’s an outburst from my makeup pics that made rounds on social media

He added

Danyel recently launched CAREERS HAVE NO GENDER campaign using his makeup, a social media campaign aimed to let the world stop Gender Stereotypes, especially career-wise.

At Lifestyle UG, we strongly condemn all acts related to a homophobic attack as it’s everyone’s right to express him/herself.
