Diamond Platnumz manager Sallam SK, confirmed today 19th March 2020 that after a positive test he has coronavirus disease COVID-19.

The manager of the Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist took to his Instagram page to announce that he had tested positive for coronavirus disease COVID-19 and was in isolation.

He posted on Instagram; The results come back and I am positive with coronavirus but I am doing fine and everything is going on well,” posted Sallam.

He captioned the post; Right now, I am under observation and my health is good, I am all alone at the ward as if I have hired this whole place for myself. I thank the nurses and the general administration for the care they gave me since I arrived two days ago.

It is suspected that Sallam travelled to Europe on 5 March, visiting Switzerland, Denmark and France, and returning to Tanzania on 14 March, Saturday.

During his tour in Europe, he revealed that the Diamond shows were cancelled due to the pandemic that ravaged Europe.

Sallam is currently under quarantine and the public awaits the results of Diamond Platnumz since he has recently performed the Coronavirus test.

Tanzania reports the first case of COVID-19

On Monday in the northern city of Arusha, Tanzania reported the first case of pandemic coronavirus. The patient, a Tanzanian woman who was 46, returned on a RwandAir plane from Belgium on Sunday.

Prime minister Kassim Majaliwa announced that a total of two new coronaviruses had been identified on Thursday and had increased to three.

The government suspended access to social activities and ordered schools to be closed.

The Minister also said they were tracking 66 people who had been in touch with the patients in Dar es Salaam and 46 others in Arusha.
