TikTok Hires Facebook’s Ella Kirby as Its Head of Music Publishing Licensing

Ella Kirby is now the Head of Music Publishing Licensing and Partnerships for TikTok in EMEA, according to a LinkedIn post from Kirby.

KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — According to a LinkedIn post by Ella Kirby, TikTok has hired her as the Head of Music Publishing Licensing & Partnerships, EMEA. Previously, Ella Kirby served as Facebook’s Music Publishing Business Development Lead (EMEA) for more than 3.5 years.

Ella Kirby joins ByteDance’s video platform after a three-and-a-half-year tenure at Facebook’s London headquarters as its Music Publishing Business Development Lead (EMEA).

She was Head of Digital Video (Strategy & Partnerships) at Ice Services before joining Facebook.

Also, the exec was previously the Pan European Licensing Digital Video Specialist at UK-based PRS for Music.

From November 2011 to June 2015, Kirby worked as an International Business Development & Business Affairs Manager at the music video platform, VEVO.

Previously, Kirby worked at Sony Music, first as the Global Digital Business Development Manager for Long-Form Video, then as the UK Business Development Specialist for Video Assets.
