Ugandan dancehall star Cindy Sanyu has secured two major partners ahead of her upcoming “Royal Experience” concert — Airtel Money and Uganda Breweries.
The show, set for Friday, August 29, 2025, at Millennium Park in Lugogo, Kampala, is billed as one of the biggest live music events of the year in Uganda. Cindy, often referred to by fans as the “King Herself,” has been a dominant figure in East Africa’s dancehall scene for more than a decade, with hits such as Boom Party and Ayokyayokya.

As the official digital ticketing partner, Airtel Money is offering fans a way to buy tickets directly on its platform, eliminating the need for paper tickets. VIP tickets purchased through Airtel Money will also carry a UGX 10,000 (about $2.80) discount when fans pay using a special code (*185*9*4394564#).
“We are proud to partner with Cindy, an artist who has inspired and entertained so many Ugandans,” said Muzoora Kabuga, Airtel Money’s head of merchant pay, at the launch event in Kampala’s Kololo neighborhood. “Through this partnership, we’re making it easier and more affordable for her fans to attend the ‘Royal Experience.’ On top of secure and simple ticketing, we’ll also ensure concert-goers enjoy the fastest sharing of their moments through Airtel’s ultra-fast 5G network.”
Cindy, speaking to reporters, said the collaboration helps her focus on what matters most: the performance itself. “I am absolutely buzzing!” she told the crowd. “My biggest wish was to make it simple for my incredible fans to be there with me. Airtel Money has made that dream a reality. Now I can focus 100% on rehearsals to give you a show you will never, ever forget.”
Uganda Breweries, through its newly launched beer brand Pilsner King, is also backing the concert. Lillian Kansiime, brand manager for mainstream beer, said the partnership was about more than sponsorship. “As one of UBL’s latest beer innovations, Pilsner King is centered around celebration and acknowledgment of unique and authentic homegrown talent, which the royal concert highlights,” she said.

She added that Cindy represents “strength, resilience, and authenticity – qualities that resonate deeply with Pilsner King.” The company also announced discounts for concertgoers who buy two Pilsner King beers at the venue.
Talent Africa Group, a leading Ugandan events company, is organizing the show. Its chief executive, Aly Alibhai, described the upcoming performance as “a truly exceptional all-around concert experience.”
Tickets are available through TAG Ticketing’s website and mobile money platforms at UGX 20,000 (around $5.6) for ordinary entry, UGX 50,000 (about $14) for VIP, and UGX 3 million ($842) for a table.
