‘Ache For You’ features four minutes of visuals directed by Marvin Musoke that will refresh your mind as you celebrate the sounds of African music infusing authentic Amapiano elements.
Amapiano is a style of house music that originated in South Africa in 2012. It is a mix of deep house, jazz and lounge music characterized by synthesizers, airy pads and percussive basslines.
The township-inspired musical style has drawn the attention of internationally well-known musicians such as Davido and Rema, and now Ugandan sensation Azawi.
Azawi’s new video, ‘Ache For You,’ is the third video from her album ‘African Music’, following ‘Slow Dancing’ and ‘My Year’, which were both released in Aug and May respectively.
The album has made tremendous progress as different tracks have climbed the charts, and just recently ‘Slow Dancing’ reached 100,000 plays on Apple Music.
Whenever Azawi appears in public, she comes across as humble and softspoken, but her music videos always show a completely different side of her. That’s certainly the case for ‘Ache For You’ with its stylish fashion, ethereal vibes, and unmissable choreography.
On YouTube, ‘Ache For You’ by Azawi has garnered 40,626 views since its premiere on Oct 29 2021, with 3800 likes and 29 dislikes.
