The Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV, and his wife, Jovia Mutesi, have welcomed their third child, 14 months after the birth of their twin sons.
The newborn, named Prince Nadiope Ezra Josiah, was born on November 1, 2026, the same date as his father, according to an announcement by the Busoga Kingdom on Thursday, November 5.
In a statement published on the Kyabazinga’s official X account, the kingdom said both Mutesi and the newborn were in good health.
“With immense joy and gratitude to Almighty God, His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV, the Kyabazinga of Busoga, and Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi, the Inhebantu of Busoga, proudly announce the birth of their third son, Prince Nadiope Ezra Josiah, who was born on 1st November 2026,” the statement read.
The kingdom also thanked the people of Busoga, family, friends and well-wishers for their prayers and support during the birth.
Royal family welcomes third son

Prince Nadiope Ezra Josiah joins his twin brothers, Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, who were born on August 27, 2025.
The twins’ arrival made the Kyabazinga and the Inhebantu Ssalongo and Nalongo, traditional titles given to parents of twins in Busoga.
The royal couple married on November 18, 2023, at Christ’s Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja. The ceremony was attended by cultural and religious leaders, government officials and other guests.
Mutesi had been publicly announced as the Kyabazinga’s choice of queen on September 7, 2023, ahead of the wedding.
In expressing their gratitude following the latest birth, the royal family cited Psalm 127:3: “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.”
The kingdom said the family appreciated the goodwill and support received from people across Busoga and beyond.
