Anita Fabiola has been named host of the Miss Uganda 2026 grand finale, which is scheduled for October 10 at Sheraton Kampala Hotel as 22 finalists compete for the national crown.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on StarTimes’ Makula KiKa, on Channel 229 for antenna decoders and Channel 493 for satellite decoders, according to organisers.
Ineza Paula will host the main television lead-up show on Makula KiKa, the organisers said.
The 2026 competition began on July 26, when the Miss Uganda Foundation started a nationwide search for contestants. The regional process produced 22 finalists who were formally introduced at a Presentation Night at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel on September 18.
Five contestants secured places in the final through the regional selection process, while 17 others joined them at the presentation stage, bringing the field to 22.
Public voting is also underway. The contestant who receives the most votes will earn an automatic place among the top five at the grand finale.

Foundation marks 15 years
This year’s pageant also marks 15 years of the Miss Uganda Foundation’s work with young women.
Brenda Nanyonjo, the foundation’s chief executive officer, said the organisation’s work extends beyond the pageant itself.
“When I look at what Miss Uganda has achieved over the last 15 years, I don’t just see crowns and titles—I see lives transformed, dreams realised, and young women empowered to become leaders in their communities and beyond,” Nanyonjo said.
The anniversary was marked during the September presentation night with a toast led by Nanyonjo and Rochart Kaweesa, representing V&A Sherry.
Former Miss Uganda queens, including 2012 winner Fiona Bizu, attended the event. Bizu is now chief executive officer of the Academy of Queens.
Outgoing Miss Uganda Trivia Elle Muhoza was also present after representing Uganda at the Miss World competition in Vietnam.
The presentation night included performances by Abeeka Band, Jiren Siyan and Spice Diana.
The competition will culminate on October 10, when the successor to Muhoza will be crowned. The winner is expected to represent Uganda at the Miss World competition.
