NTV Uganda has banned Alien Skin and Pallaso’s music from airing on its entertainment show, NTV The Beat. Presenters Sammy Wetala, Dagy Nyce, and Lynda Ddane shared the decision live on air, saying it was part of the station’s effort to promote harmony in the music industry.
“As a show dedicated to entertaining and uplifting the public through transformative content, we will not be playing Pallaso’s or Alien Skin’s music until further notice,” they said.
The ban stems from the chaos that broke out during last year’s Enkuuka Festival. Things got even worse recently at the Empele Festival in Buloba, where a scuffle between the two artists escalated. Reports suggest Pallaso retaliated after a confrontation with Alien Skin, damaging property and injuring some of Alien’s crew members in the process.
For now, NTV is standing its ground, saying it’s all about maintaining peace in the music scene.
