Tecno Mobile, a Shenzhen-based mobile phone manufacturer this week announced Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage as its newest ambassador.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian singer, was announced as the company’s newest brand ambassador earlier this week by Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Tecno Mobile, based in Shenzhen.
- Tecno Mobile signs Tiwa Savage to represent the new Spark 9 series and Camon 19 series.
- Tiwa Savage is currently touring North America through her EP, Water & Garri.
- Tecno Mobile launched a new financial app, ‘Tecno Wallet’.
Earlier this month, Tecno announced partnerships with Afrobeats star Fireboy DML and Kenyan musician Otile Brown to market the new Tecno Spark 9 and Camon 19 phones.
As a result of the deal, Tiwa Savage becomes the brand’s first female ambassador in Nigeria. She is expected to represent Tecno’s Camon 19 series, which was launched in New York on 14 June.
Tecno says it wants to offer users contemporary tech with a unique artistic aesthetic, and show that it can serve the young at heart with innovation, and technological and artistic advancement in emerging markets around the globe.
The company recently launched the ‘Tecno Wallet’ financial app, designed specifically for its devices and integrated into the Camon 19 series. This app offers a range of financial services and diverse payment methods.
Water & Garri EP
Tiwa Savage will be touring North America with her EP, Water & Garri. She will perform in 17 cities, including New York, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto.
Water & Garri, released in August 2021, features American R&B star Brandy, Nigerian R&B artist Tay Iwar, Ghanaian artist Amaarae, and US rapper Nas.
