Emerging Ugandan singer Sheem Mwanje has signed with Zhafar Music Agency in a move the label describes as a “major step” in its mission to promote diverse musical talent.
The Buziga-based agency, which launched operations in January 2025, confirmed the new addition to its growing roster on Friday.
“Sheem Mwanje is a remarkable talent,” said Zhafar Music CEO Haruna Zhafar. “Her versatility and grace make her a perfect fit for our agency. We believe that with our resources and her artistic vision, we can elevate her music to unprecedented levels.”
Sheem, known for her genre-blending style and emotionally resonant vocals, is behind songs such as Love Elinye, Nkwagala Biliyo, Olindaki, Dreaming, and Forever featuring Grenade Official. Her music has drawn attention for its distinct sound and heartfelt lyrics.

Reacting to the announcement, Sheem said the signing marked a new chapter in her artistic journey.
“I am beyond excited to join Zhafar Agency. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to grow as an artist and reach new audiences,” she said. “I am thankful for my fans’ unwavering support, and I promise to bring them music that resonates with their hearts and souls.”
Sheem now joins a line-up that includes Vicky Bankx, Beenie Gunter, and Dokta Brain, also known as Doorkey.
Zhafar Music has quickly positioned itself as a rising force in Uganda’s entertainment industry, with a focus on nurturing talent and promoting cross-genre musical collaborations.
