B2C Say Andy Events Helped Shape Their Career: ‘We Still Talk to Him’

B2C Entertainment have set aside past differences to honour their former manager, Andy Events, at their 10th anniversary concert — despite a long-standing fallout and his absence from the event.

Ugandan trio B2C Entertainment have said they will honour their former manager, Andy Events, during their upcoming 10-year anniversary concert—despite the pair’s well-publicised split several years ago.

The group, made up of Mr. Lee, Bobby Lash, and Delivad Julio, are set to mark a decade in music with a major show at Hotel Africana in Kampala on 9 May 2025.

Speaking in an interview with BBS Terefayina, the trio reflected on their journey so far and expressed gratitude to Andy Events—real name Andy Mugerwa—crediting him with helping to shape their early success.

“Andy is celebrated because he is one of the people responsible for what we are today,” they said.

“Wherever he is, we would want to have him on the show. We talk to him, and I’m certain he is happy—because whatever we have achieved now, he knows we are serious about our career.”

Andy is currently out of the country and will not be in attendance, but the gesture marks a rare public acknowledgment after a bitter fallout that saw the group part ways with him in late 2018.

At the time, the trio released a statement citing Andy’s “pressing commitments” and described their decision to separate as a professional one. “We shall miss Mr. Mugerwa Andrew (Andy Events) a lot,” the statement read, “but we shall never forget him and he will remain our consultant.”

Despite the amicable tone, the split was soon clouded by disagreement. Andy reportedly claimed ownership of the ‘B2C’ name and urged the group to stop using it, leading the artists to temporarily adopt the name “Kampala Boys” as a creative alternative.

Now, with the brand officially registered as a limited company, B2C have reclaimed their identity and appear eager to move forward with a message of unity.

Andy managed the trio for about five years, overseeing their rise from promising newcomers to one of Uganda’s most recognisable acts. Their 10th anniversary concert is expected to reflect both that history and their resilience as a group.
