US-based Concord Music Publishing, in collaboration with Immensum Music, has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Ghanaian-American singer-songwriter Amaarae. The deal encompasses her entire catalogue and future works, including her 2023 sophomore album “Fountain Baby,” which has already accumulated over 69 million global streams since its release.
Concord SVP, A&R, Jeremy Yohai, described Amaarae as one of the most exciting new voices in pop music due to her unique vision and approach to songwriting.
Amaarae’s multicultural background, influenced by the US and Ghana, shapes her genre-blending sound, fusing R&B, hip-hop, punk rock, and Afropop. She has collaborated with global artists such as CKay and Tiwa Savage and contributed to the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” movie Prologue EP with her song “A Body, a Coffin,” alongside artists like Tems and Santa Fe Klan.
Her international breakthrough came with a remix of her single “Sad Girlz Luv Money,” featuring Latin pop artist Kali Uchis in 2021, which garnered over 1.2 billion streams globally and charted on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching the Top 30 in the UK, New Zealand, and Switzerland.
Amaarae recently starred in the campaign for fashion house Mugler’s collaboration with H&M, and in 2024, she will embark on the “Fountain Baby” tour with performances in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Toronto, and more.
