Ugandan entertainer Crysto Panda, known offstage as Herbert Kityamuweesi, has officially returned to Nation Media Group’s NTV Uganda to resume his role as host of The Vybe, a youth-oriented music and entertainment show.
Panda’s comeback marks a significant chapter in his media journey, which began at the station in 2016 when he took over as host of T-Nation, succeeding Sheilah Gashumba. His vibrant presenting style quickly earned him a following among teenage audiences across the country.

However, his initial run at the Kampala-based broadcaster came to an abrupt end amid what he previously described as “administrative changes.” Despite the setback, he remained a visible figure in Uganda’s entertainment landscape, expanding into radio, live events, and music — producing hits like Empele — and co-hosting TikTok Live sessions with singer Bruno K, until their professional split.
In a post shared on Instagram on Monday, 19 May 2025, Panda confirmed his return to the Serena Hotel-based broadcaster. Posing in front of an NTV backdrop, he captioned the image: “East or West ……. Tune in Today at 2:30 PM NTV.”
His announcement was met with an outpouring of support from fans online. On Instagram, one follower wrote, “Enroute to legendary status,” while another added, “Home is the best.” On X (formerly Twitter), fans echoed similar sentiments, with one user commenting, “We missed you so much, happy that you’re back.”
NTV Uganda also confirmed his return on X, writing: “Crysto Panda is back! Tune in to The Vybe and drop your shout-outs and requests. Tune in every weekday at 2:30 PM for the show.”

Crysto Panda officially resumed his role today, stepping back into the spotlight on The Vybe. In his absence, fellow presenter MC Esco had been temporarily hosting the programme.
For many of his supporters, Panda’s return represents a homecoming — not just to NTV, but to the platform where his career in media took root.
