2021 Ghana Music Awards USA nominations were announced on Saturday, April 17, 2021, ahead of the main event in New Jersey this August.

  • Nominees for the 2021 Ghana Music Awards USA were announced on Saturday, April 17.
  • Sarkodie leads with nine nominations, alongside Kuami Eugene eight and Stonebwoy seven.
  • The award’s objective is to “encourage and recognize Ghanaian music across America.
  • Visit the Lifestyle Uganda homepage for more stories like this.

The awards, now in their second year, are organised by Don’s Music Production in partnership with Highlife Media USA with a vision of “acknowledge, encourage and promote Ghanaian musicians globally and specifically in the US.”

The announcement follows Ghanaian artist manager and broadcaster Kwasi Aboagye’s nomination as the chair of the awards.

This year’s Ghana Music Awards USA will feature more than 30 categories in which music released between January 2019 and December 2020 will be recognized.
