Paul Joseph Put, hailing from Belgium, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Uganda Cranes, as announced by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA).
Paul Put brings a wealth of coaching experience from various countries, including Burkina Faso, Gambia, Guinea, Kenya, and most recently Congo Brazzaville.
According to FUFA President Moses Magogo, the appointment followed an extensive application process with over 150 coaches, including two Ugandans, applying for the position. After careful analysis, FUFA selected Paul Put for the role.
Paul Put takes over from Serbian coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic, who was relieved of his duties following a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
