This big shindig is going down at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield, and it’s not just any party—it’s the UK’s grandest celebration of black music. They’re throwing accolades in 20 categories to honor the coolest artistic achievements.
In the Best African Act category, it’s a showdown with Burna Boy, Davido, Rema, Wizkid, Tyla, Adekunle Gold, Asake, Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Libianca (Cameroon), and Uncle Waffles (eSwatini) all in the mix. Plus, shoutout to Nigerian gospel act Limoblaze for repping in the Best Gospel category. And let’s not forget P2J, the British-Nigerian producer known for his beats with Wizkid—he’s in the running for Best Producer.
Leading the charge with four nominations each are British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz and British-Ghanaian rapper Stormzy.
