Singer and producer A Pass is dropping his third studio album, “Bagonza,” on February 1, 2024. Before that, he’s hosting a Listening Party on January 30, 2024.
The album is named after A Pass’ birth surname, Bagonza. It follows his previous albums “NVA KAMPALA” and “AFRICAN YAYO.”
Originally planned as an EP titled “Bedroom Terrorist,” it evolved into “BAGONZA” after some changes.
A Pass spent nearly five years creating the album, working with producers like HerbertSkillz and Nessim Pan Production, along with mixing and mastering by Sir Dan Magic and Baru Beatz.
Teasers on social media hinted at RnB, Afro dancehall, and reggae vibes in the album.
Delays were caused by selecting tracks and perfecting the mix. The release date was pushed to February 1st for final touches.
The album, released through Game Over Records, includes 42 tracks featuring collaborations with Likkle Bangi, Alina Jah, Akeine, and Ceee.
A Pass continues his collaboration with Hatimax Sebintu for album artwork, each piece telling a story reflecting the album’s themes.
Previous albums featured themes like the challenges of life and love, with nods to Uganda and African identity.
Surprisingly, Lilian Mbabazi isn’t featured on this album, but fans can expect some surprises, perhaps even a deluxe edition.
None of the tracks from the album have been released previously.
