Ugandan singer Baby Gloria has given fans a glimpse into her next chapter, sharing official photos from her Kukyala ceremony held on Friday.
The gospel artist, real name Gloria Mulungi Senyonjo, hosted an intimate celebration at her parents’ home, surrounded by close family and friends. While a few grainy videos had already leaked online, Gloria’s Instagram post offered a much clearer look at the joyful occasion.
Dressed in elegant traditional attire, the God Win singer thanked her fiancé, Jonas Mbaleka, and her family for making the day a memorable one.
“I promise Mummy and Daddy that we will continue bringing items home paka last,” she said in a video shared by Spark TV. “I thank God who enabled them to organise a lit Kukyala function. I thank my Mummy a lot—she worked so hard that she even fell sick because she had been up and down.”
The singer also revealed that preparations for the Kwanjula and wedding ceremonies are already underway and expected in the next few months.
Hints about the Kukyala had been dropped earlier by her mother, Betty Nakibuuka, during a television interview where she spoke about the planning.
Grateful for more than just the party, Gloria shared that her parents had even repaired the road leading to their home ahead of the big day—“so visitors could arrive safely,” she said.
The 23-year-old made her relationship with Jonas public in March, revealing that the two had been quietly building their bond with the full support of their families.
In an earlier Instagram post, Gloria opened up about the values guiding their relationship, sharing that she and Jonas had decided to wait until marriage before becoming intimate—a decision rooted in their shared born-again Christian faith.
“We have never been intimate before. That’s what I asked from him the first time, and he knows it,” she said. “This was to keep our relationship strong and pure. He is a born-again, and I am too.”
Not long after their relationship became public, some fans raised questions about Jonas’s past, but Gloria was quick to address the rumours.
“Good thing is that I’ve got all his data,” she said with a smile. “First of all, I haven’t stolen anyone’s husband. He has no kids, thank God. Those are not skeletons that anyone is going to dig up.”
