CAF has announced a renewed partnership with Africa Global Logistics (AGL), confirming the group as the Official Logistics Partner for two of the continent’s biggest football tournaments: the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026.
The agreement was signed on Wednesday, 23 April, at a ceremony in Johannesburg attended by CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe and AGL President Philippe Labonne. The move builds on a successful collaboration between the two organisations during the 2023 edition of AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
“CAF is delighted to once more establish a partnership with AGL,” said Dr Motsepe. “AGL is a leading logistics company and its partnership with CAF reflects the substantial commitment by both parties to the development and growth of football for men and women in Africa.”
AFCON continues to be one of the most watched sporting events globally, reaching an estimated audience of 1.5 billion across 178 countries. Organisers hope AGL’s expansive logistics network will ensure the smooth delivery of the tournament.
Operating in 47 countries across Africa, AGL is expected to provide sustainable and innovative logistics services for both events.
Philippe Labonne, AGL’s president, said the partnership extended beyond tournament delivery and into the broader development of the sport.
“We aim to support the successful organisation of major tournaments like AFCON and WAFCON, and also to transform African football into a lasting driver of economic and social development,” he said.
“Thanks to our partnership with CAF, we celebrate the passion of millions of Africans for football while reinforcing our commitment to local content, engaging with communities, and promoting women’s inclusion.”
The renewed deal includes AGL’s support for WAFCON 2026—signalling a growing emphasis on women’s football and CAF’s ongoing efforts to promote gender equality across African sport.
CAF said the partnership reflects a shared belief in the power of football to drive economic opportunity, build infrastructure, and support communities across the continent.
Organisers say the partnership is also expected to create job opportunities, stimulate local economies, and leave a lasting impact on host nations well beyond the final whistle.
