One of Uganda’s most prominent female dancehall musicians, Cindy Sanyu, has announced that her next major concert will take place on 29 August 2025 at Millennium Park in Lugogo, Kampala.
The concert, titled Cindy Live in Concert: The Royal Experience, was confirmed via her official Instagram account, where the singer shared a promotional poster with her followers, affectionately known as the Cindycates.
The announcement ends months of speculation about the event’s venue. Earlier this year, Cindy—who refers to herself as the King Herself—hinted at the possibility of staging the concert at Hamz Stadium, one of Uganda’s largest entertainment venues. However, it is Millennium Park that will now host what is expected to be another high-energy showcase.

Cindy’s concerts have a track record of pulling massive crowds. Her 2020 Boom Party concert is widely regarded as one of the biggest shows ever held by a Ugandan female artist. By late afternoon on the day of that event, queues had already started to snake around the venue, with fans paying UGX 20,000 and UGX 50,000 for Ordinary and VIP access respectively.
Although ticketing details for the 2025 concert have yet to be released, fans are already bracing for what many expect to be one of the highlights of Uganda’s music calendar.
A Decade of Influence
Cindy Sanyu, born Cinderella Sanyu in Kampala on 28 August 1985 and originally from Mbale District, has been a constant force in East Africa’s music scene for more than a decade. She began her career in the early 2000s as a founding member of the all-girl group Blu*3, formed through the Coca-Cola Pop Stars talent search.
Alongside Jackie Chandiru and Lilian Mbabazi, Blu*3 became a household name before Cindy launched her solo career in 2008. Her debut solo album Ayokyayokya in 2009 propelled her into regional stardom, delivering hits such as Mbikooye, Nawewe, and One and Only.
Known for her fierce stage presence and powerful vocals, Cindy has continued to produce chart-topping hits including Selekta and Boom Party, and remains one of the few Ugandan female artists—alongside Sheebah and Juliana Kanyomozi—who have successfully broken into regional markets.
From her early days singing in a church choir in Ntinda to headlining sold-out shows, Cindy’s story is one of talent, tenacity, and a deep connection with her fans. As the countdown begins for The Royal Experience in August, expectations are high for another landmark moment in her enduring career.
