The new integration makes it possible for DistroKid members to connect to their Audiomack account and distribute their music directly to their artist profile on Audiomack.
Music streaming and innovation site Audiomack has partnered with DistroKid, an independent music distributor. This is the first time Audiomack has formed an integrated partnership with live-to-artist music distributors such as DistroKid.
Audiomack now attracts more than 17 million monthly active users and is popular in emerging markets, especially on the African continent.
Warner Music signed in November 2020 with Audiomack for major African regions including Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania, becoming the first major label to sign a deal on the platform in August 2019.
The new integration makes it possible for DistroKid members to connect to their Audiomack account and distribute their music directly to their artist profile on Audiomack.
DistroKid, which consumes more than 35,000 new songs every day, claims that about a third of the world’s new music is distributed by its site and that more than 2 million artists rely on its site.
“We have a similar friendship with the growing music creators and superstars at Audiomack,” said David Ponte, Audiomack CMO and co-founder.
“DistroKid releases a lot of new music from emerging artists, so we’re happy to work with them to make it easier than ever for artists to be in Audiomack and use powerful free tools like our Creator Dashboard.”
“Through this deal, we give many more artists the opportunity to succeed and discover new fans who are dedicated to Audiomack.”
Philip Kaplan, the founder of DistroKid, added: “Audiomack has become an influential platform for artists and musicians around the world.
“We are pleased to make it easy for millions of artists who rely on DistroKid to connect seamlessly with Audiomack is a powerful and convenient way.”
DistroKid has recently joined Snapchat in distributing its artists to the social site, which has 265 million active users every day.
To which stores does DistroKid distribute?
iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Amazon Music, Google Play Music, YouTube, Tidal, Deezer, iHeartRadio and a ton of other stores and streaming services.
Why is DistroKid so cheap?
DistroKid keeps its costs to a minimum by allowing customers to decide whether to pay extra for services such as Shazam and YouTube Monetization. Some musicians throw a big stink about this, but it’s hard to complain when this company pays so much for so little money.
