Drake takes the title of Madonna as the artist with the top 10 hits of all time.
Drake became the artist with the top 10 hits in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.
The rapper had recently tied up with Madonna for the coveted spot, but thanks to his new collaborations with longtime partner DJ Khaled, Drake has progressed.
Drake takes first place
Drake’s two new successes broke his record with Madonna in 2002. After that, the pop icon kicked out The Beatles with his James Bond ballad, “Die Another Day”. But a few months ago, Drake tied up with Madonna.
On May 16, Drake’s single “Pain 1993” with the Playboi Carti reached number 7 on the charts.
Now, Drake’s songs “Popstar” and “Greece” have broken that record. “Popstar” is currently ranked 3rd and “Greece” is ranked 8th.
As of July 27, “Popstar” has received more than 24 million streams, while “Greece” has 18.8 million.
Drake’s Road No. 1
Drake first entered the top 10 in 2009 with “Best I Ever Had”. His performance in the rankings has been phenomenal ever since.
For the past 11 years, it has been able to get into the top 10 almost every year. Also, in many of those years, he was able to get multiple singles in the charts at once.
This year, 5 songs for him have reached the top 10 levels.
The two-song lead of the track will only be bigger. Drake has announced that he will be releasing his sixth studio album from time to time this summer. The release date is rumoured to be Friday 14th August.
This album is likely to have more than one top 10 hits, which will make Drake far more than competitive. It seems we have not yet seen the heights of Drake’s career.
