Flavia Tumusiime, a Ugandan television personality and wife of Andrew Kabuura, has resigned after six years from Serena-based NTV Uganda.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — Flavia Tumusiime, a Ugandan journalist and television personality who is married to Andrew Kabuura, has resigned after six years from Serena-based NTV Uganda.
The gorgeous mother of Liam Ashaba Kabuura and wife of NTV sports journalist Andrew Kabuura resigned without stating her reason for leaving.
Flavia who joined NTV Uganda in 2015 last appeared on screen in April. Since the start of May, she has not yet returned to anchoring news.
In an Instagram statement dated May 17, 2021, Flavia Tumusiime thanked former NTV Uganda news manager Maurice Mugisha for giving her the chance to join the newsroom, and Aggie Asiimwe Konde for helping to shape her TV career.
TV Career
Flavia Tumusiime began her television career at the tender age of 14 hosting the popular teens show Teens Club on WBS TV before switching to the radio industry.
After doing a stint on HOT 100, she was hired by one of the top radio stations in Uganda, 91.3 Capital FM, where she hosts the mid-morning show every weekday.
In 2012, Flavia was the first East African to host the Big Brother Africa reality show. She joined NTV Uganda in 2015, hosting the ‘NTV Tonight’ weekly news bulletin to date.
