Sarkodie, a Ghanaian rapper, is among the nominees for the 2021 South African Hip Hop Awards, also known as the SA Hip Hop Awards 2021.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA (http://lifestyleuganda.com/) — In advance of the awards ceremony on 10 December, nominees for the 2021 South African Hip Hop Awards, also called SA Hip Hop Awards 2021, were announced, which included Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie.
- Sarkodie was nominated for ‘Best International Act’ at the SA Hip Hop Awards 2021.

The Ghanaian global superstar Sarkodie has been nominated for the “Best International Act” category at the tenth edition of the 2021 South African Hip Hop Awards dubbed “Manifesto”.
Listed in the “Best International Act” category of the award scheme, Sarkodie was nominated alongside world-class hip-hop musicians like Drake and Kanye West (Ye).
At the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2019, Sarkodie won the award for “Best International Flow,” beating musicians from the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Nigeria, the United States, and South Africa.
This included: Little Simz, Ghetts, Kalash, Tory Lanez, Falz and Nasty C.
Ghanaians are very excited this year to see Sarkodie compete against some of the most talented names in Hip Hop. Drake represented Canada, while Kanye West (Ye) represented the United States of America.
The list of other nominees in the category of “Best International Act” includes Little Simz from the United Kingdom (UK) and William Last KRM from Botswana.
Since 2012, the annual awards platform has recognized and celebrated outstanding artists within the South African hip hop scene.
This year, there will be nine categories for the public to vote on, including Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Video, Best Male, Best Female, Best Radio Show, Best Remix, Artist of the Decade, and Best International Act.
By sending category codes (example: SAHHAs+code+nominee) to 43985, the public can vote for their favourite artists. The voting deadline is 26 November.
