Azawi tops the 2021 Buzz Teenz Awards nominations, which were announced on Monday, with six nominations, including ‘Teenz Artist of the Year’ and ‘Teenz Hottest Songwriter’.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA (https://lifestyleuganda.com/) — Priscilla Zawedde alias Azawi is the top nominee for the 2021 Buzz Teenz Awards, announced on Monday. Her nominations include ‘Teenz Artist of the Year, ‘Teenz Female Artist, ‘Teenz Hottest Song Writer’.

Also, she was nominated for ‘Teenz Hottest Song of the Year’, ‘Teenz Flyest Video’, and ‘Teenz TikTok Sound of the Year’.
The 25-year-old singer/songwriter, who released her 16 track debut album ‘African Music’ in October, garnered two nominations for her singles, ‘Slow dancing’ and ‘My Year’.
Fik Fameica, one of the most effective rappers of this generation, came in second with five nominations, including Teenz Artist of the Year, Teenz Male Artist, and Teenz Fashion Star.
Pallaso, King of the East, is nominated in two categories, including Teenz Artist of the Year and Teenz Male Artist, while Crysto Panda, last year’s top nominee got one nod in Teenz Hottest TV Personality category.
Spice Diana is up for ‘Teenz Female Artist’, ‘Teenz Hottest Collabo’ and ‘Teenz Fashion Star’ while Sheebah Karungi is nominated for ‘Teenz Female Artist’, ‘Teenz Hottest Collabo’, and ‘Teenz Hottest Song of the Year’.
A live stream of the award show will be available through the BTA Facebook page and MTN Uganda YouTube channel on December 19th, 2021.
Buzz Teenz Awards recognise public figures in different categories based on their outstanding contributions. They represent Uganda’s youths, and both nominations and voting are restricted to youths no older than 20 years old.
Although the BTA performance list hasn’t been released, the nominations spotlight some of the top artists in a number of categories.
