Irene Ntale has spoken about the difficulties she is facing in her journey to motherhood, describing the emotional strain of wanting children while dealing with challenges that have made conception difficult.

The Ugandan singer, who married Vincent Kalibbala at Rubaga Cathedral in October 2025, shared her feelings in a TikTok video that was later deleted. She also criticised the social pressure placed on married women who do not have children, saying people often make hurtful remarks without knowing their circumstances.

Her comments come months after she disclosed undergoing surgery in Uganda to remove 30 uterine fibroids. In an update shared in late July 2026, Ntale said she was four weeks and four days into recovery and described the initial days after the operation as difficult.

“4weeks 4days post op! 30removed! Vertical incision! Healing very well. The first week was hell! The gas pains after surgery! But after that everything starts to slowly feel normal again. Did my surgery in Uganda,” she wrote.

Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in or around the uterus. Their effects vary, and their presence does not automatically mean a woman will have difficulty conceiving. The impact on fertility depends on factors including their size and location.

Ntale’s latest remarks have drawn messages of support from fellow musicians and other public figures.

Singer A Pass wrote: “Sorry mukwano, all will be well no matter what the case maybe.”

Vivian Tendo also offered encouragement, saying she hoped Ntale would eventually look back on the difficult period with happiness.

“My Irene, I pray that one day you’ll look back at these painful moments with tears of joy because God turned your prayers into a beautiful testimony. Until then, may He give you strength on the hardest days and peace when the world feels unkind. I’m rooting for you wholeheartedly,” she wrote.

Singer Julie Jean also expressed hope that Ntale would have children, while criticising the tendency to make insensitive comments about other people’s circumstances.

“It’s well Irene, you will have children. People always talk about anything even about the kid that is not born yet. You will have kids IJN,” she said.

Ntale’s comments have renewed attention on the social pressure women can face over childbearing, particularly after marriage. Her account highlights the distinction between a person’s private health circumstances and public assumptions about when they should become a parent.

The singer has not publicly provided a medical assessment of her fertility or confirmed whether doctors have determined that she is unable to conceive.
