Among all nominated in this year’s Ghana Music Awards USA, rap artist Sarkodie leads the pack with nine nominations, followed by Kuami Eugene and Stonebwoy.
2021 Ghana Music Awards USA nominations were announced on Saturday, April 17, 2021, ahead of the main event in New Jersey this August.

The awards, now in their second year, are organised by Don’s Music Production in partnership with Highlife Media USA with a vision of “acknowledge, encourage and promote Ghanaian musicians globally and specifically in the US.”
The announcement follows Ghanaian artist manager and broadcaster Kwasi Aboagye’s nomination as the chair of the awards.
This year’s Ghana Music Awards USA will feature more than 30 categories in which music released between January 2019 and December 2020 will be recognized.

In the nominations, Sarkodie leads the way with nine nominations. He is followed by Kuami Eugene with eight. Stonebwoy, KayKay Amponsah and Millicent Yankey are also nominated with seven each.
In his bid to defend his title, Sarkodie will take on KiDi, Fameye, Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, Mr Drew, Medikal and Diana Hamilton.
