Dr Anthony Fauci will testify remotely to the Senate committee on the COVID-19 crisis.
On Tuesday, Dr Anthony Fauci will testify remotely to the Senate committee on the COVID-19 crisis.
Fauci will speak with other public health professionals, including Director of Disease Control and Prevention Dr Robert Redfield, about COVID-19 and reopening of the US economy.
Senator Lamar Alexander announced on Sunday that the committee will hold hearings on the video conference.
He said, “After consultation with Dr Fauci, we will be very alert to our witnesses, senators and staff. All four executive witnesses will appear via video conference because of these unusual circumstances.”
Fauci entered a “modified isolation” after being exposed to a White House staffer who tested positive for Covid-19.
Recently, President Trump blocked his testimony before a House of Representatives committee. Trump said, “The council is an organization. This council is a bunch of Trump haters. “
Last week, the White House Office of Legislative Affairs issued a memorandum to all members of the Corona Virus Task Force, without appearing before Congress, without the approval of Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.
White House press secretary Kylie McNally explained that Dr Anthony Fauci’s absence from the House Committee was due to end the meeting on funding for the Department of Health and Human Services.
He said this was an “odd fit” because Fauci works at national health agencies.
