The 2021 American film âJudas and the Black Messiahâ is based on the story of King, Berson and Kenny and Keith Lucas. The film describes the betrayal of Fred Hampton.
The film is about the civil rights movement and stars Daniel Kaluuya and Lakith Stanfield as Hampton and OâNeill, respectively, with Jesse Plemons, Dominique Fishback, Aston Sanders and Martin Sheen in supporting roles.
The film is not yet in theatres, but it premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival on Monday, and the Warner Bros. film is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 12 in the United States and digitally on HBO Max.
The actor was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture with Sacha Baron Cohen â The Trial of the Chicago 7, Jared Letto â The Little Things, Bill Murray â On the Rocks and Leslie Odom Jr. â A Night in Miami.
The annual awards ceremony was unveiled today, two months after they were usually announced, with Sarah Jessica Parker and Taraji B. Henson as guests at the virtual event.
This is the second time in 2017 that Uganda has received its nomination since the film âGet Outâ. With this achievement in Golden Globe Awards 2021, Daniel Kaluuya also stands a great chance of being nominated for an Oscar this year.
This yearâs nominees are a mix of old and new, highlighting what weâve been watching from home while in isolation. The Golden Globe Awards are accolades aimed at recognizing the excellence of a film on American and international and American television.
The annual awards ceremony usually takes place every January, and is the highlight of the film industryâs awards season, culminating in the Academy Awards each year.
The qualifying period for the Golden Globes is the same as the calendar year (January 1 to December 31).
Born in 1989, Daniel Kaluuya is a British actor and writer who began his career as a teenager in advanced plays. He later appeared in the first two seasons of the British television series Skins, in which he co-wrote some episodes.
One of his biggest roles was in 2018 when he portrayed WâKabi in Black Panther.
