Gospel singer Levixone, real name Sam Lucas Lubyogo, and his fiancée, musician and philanthropist Desire Luzinda, were married today in a private ceremony at Serena Hotel Kigo.
The service was presided over by Apostle Grace Lubega of Phaneroo Ministries. Guests included close family, friends, and a few public figures, among them Luzinda’s daughter, Michelle Kaddu.
The wedding coincided with Luzinda’s birthday. She was born on August 15, 1984, to Jamada Luzinda and Imelda Byanyima Luzinda.

The couple’s relationship has been the subject of public speculation for years. They kept it largely private until Levixone proposed last month. They confirmed their engagement in July through videos shared on social media.
On August 12, they held a traditional Kwanjula ceremony in Matugga. Earlier in the month, on August 1, they hosted their first wedding meeting in Ntinda.
Photos from the wedding were shared widely on X, formerly Twitter, within hours of the ceremony.
Luzinda, 41, once a popular figure in Uganda’s entertainment scene, left secular music, moved to the United States, and has since focused on gospel music and charity work. Her foundation supports vulnerable teenage girls.
Levixone, 32, grew up in Kosovo, a suburb of Kampala. He has become one of Uganda’s most prominent gospel musicians, known for songs such as Ani, Chikibombe, Liar, Turn the Replay, and Samanya.
