Onduparaka FC has named Sadick Ssempigi as their new head coach for the rest of the season.
The club shared the news through their official social media pages, especially on X (formerly Twitter), saying they’re excited to have him on board.
Ssempigi brings experience from coaching several teams, including Gaddafi FC, Arua Hill, Mbarara City, and Jinja North United. He takes over from Ceasar Okhuti, who had been juggling roles as both player and coach.
This is a comeback for Ssempigi, who’s been out of a coaching job since his exit from Lugazi FC earlier this season.
Right now, Onduparaka sits 11th on the FUFA Big League table with 22 points—just one point clear of the relegation zone. The team has won six games, drawn four, and lost nine.
Ssempigi’s first task? Leading the team against Busoga United today at Greenlight Stadium in Arua.
