Uganda’s music sensation and Queen Karma, Sheebah Karungi has reaffirmed her popularity in Uganda but this time not in the music industry but fashion.
Sheebah Karungi Mummy Yo is nominated for the first time at the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards 2018 as Fashionable Music Video Of The Year.
Mummy Yo is up against Finally by Geosteady, Very Well by King Saha (Slick Stuart & Roja), Chips na Ketchup by Vinka and finally Mujje by GNL Zamba.
The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards under the theme, ‘fashion is power’, seeks to highlight that fashion is integral to identity.
It will also preview the transition of Africa’s fashion industry over the years with red carpet appearances, showcases from top Designers and Models, blended with remarkable performances from both local and international artistes.
The awards also aim to promote tourism by opening up Kampala city to Africa through fashion.
Mummy Yo nomination in the ASFA 2018 comes at a time when most of her fans are still enjoying her songs like Beera Nange, Wankona, Kunya and Nze Wuwo among others.
Mummy Yo, another one from Sheebah Karungi is off her new album called Omwooyo, a 10 track album.
Sheebah Karungi Mummy Yo was shot by Sasha Vybz, a multi-award winning Ugandan video director and choreographer.
The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards will go down on 7th December 2018 at Kampala Serena Hotel under the theme Fashion is Power.
