Ugandan pop star Spice Diana has released a new single, “Tondwisa,” a duet with fellow singer Chris Evans Kaweesi that has quickly struck a chord with her fans.
The 28-year-old artist, born Namukwaya Hajara Diana and managed under Source Management, uses the track to explore themes of longing and affection. Her smooth delivery is paired with Chris Evans’s distinct vocal style, giving the song what listeners have described as an easy, flowing quality.
The video, directed by Ugandan production house Jah Live, leans heavily into the chemistry between the two performers. Just days after its release in November 2023, it had already drawn tens of thousands of views on YouTube. As of this week, the figure has surpassed 60,000.
For Spice Diana, whose career blends chart-topping hits with endorsement deals, the single adds to what has been a prolific run in Uganda’s music scene. Chris Evans, known for his heartfelt band-style ballads, brings a different texture that complements her more contemporary pop sound.
The collaboration marks another step in Diana’s steady rise, cementing her reputation as one of the most visible faces of Uganda’s entertainment industry.
