The one-and-only Tiwa Savage is set to perform in Kampala at the Lugogo Cricket Oval on the 29th of July for her second Ugandan concert.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — Tiwa Savage, undoubtedly one of Africa’s greatest musical icons, is set to perform in Uganda for the second time in July at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
In a video released earlier, Tiwa Savage, who is often dubbed the “Beyonce of Africa,” announced the event, urging all Ugandans to get their tickets as soon as possible.
The diva’s ten-year chart dominance makes Tiwa Savage an artist not to be underestimated. She has carved a name for herself as the “Queen of Afrobeats”.
No Wahala, Koroba, Somebody’s Son, Lova Lova, Romantic, Keys to the City, Kele Kele Love, Ma Lo, Eminado, Dis Love, Girlie O, Woju, Diet, All over, Without My Heart are some of the chart-topping songs by the Nigerian singer.
A lineup of top divas in Uganda have been invited to join Tiwa Savage in an all-female lineup of entertainers at Lugogo Cricket Oval in a themed “Girls Run the World” event.
She is currently on her “Water And Garri” World Tour, and she has sold out major arenas across the USA, Europe, and Canada.
“TIWA SAVAGE LIVE IN UGANDA” concert boasts performances by Cindy Sanyu, Winnie Nwagi, Vinka, Karole Kasita, Lamu, Sandra Nansambu, DJ Alisha, DJ Zato, Sheila Salta, Miss Deedan, and many more.
Tiwa Savage’s concert tickets will be available for purchase on the following ticketing platforms starting July 5th: quicket.com, tagticketing.com, the TalentAfricaGroup app and via the MTN USSD short code *165*98#.
“Tiwa Savage Live in Uganda” is made possible by JOS Global, Talent Africa Group, Salphine Productions, Next Radio, NBS Television, New Vision, and Tusker Cider.
Tiwa’s concert was canceled
After Talent Africa Group falsely announced Tiwa Savage’s show in Uganda on 13 Jun, Jos Global, a promotion company presumably responsible for the event, responded on 14 Jun to explain what was happening.
The event poster shared by the Talent Africa Group on their social media pages has Jos Global listed as the organisers, but Jos has since denied any contract or contact between them and Savage.
A tweet seen by nowthendigital.com read: “We do not have any program arrangement with @TiwaSavage please disregard this.”.
In March, Tiwa Savage announced she would be in Uganda on April 22 at the same venue but later deleted the posts from her social media channels without explanation.
Following a cancelled show in April, it is the second time the singer is scheduled to perform in Uganda.
