Jamaican dancehall singer Konshens and South African DJ and producer DJ Maphorisa are scheduled to perform in Kampala on December 11, 2026, at a concert organisers say will attract music fans from across the region.
The event, dubbed Vibe Republic, is scheduled to take place at Lugogo Cricket Oval during Uganda’s festive season.
Talent Africa Group, one of the organisers, has opened the first phase of ticket sales, offering discounted prices ahead of the show. The supplied information does not specify the ticket prices or the duration of the promotional offer.
Konshens, whose real name is Garfield Spence, last performed in Uganda at the Blankets & Wine festival on December 17, 2023, at the same venue. It was his fourth visit to the country, following performances in 2012, 2013 and 2015, including a concert with fellow Jamaican dancehall singer Busy Signal.
The singer is known for tracks including Bruk Off Yuh Back, Gal a Bubble, Pull Up to Mi Bumper and Do Sumn. His return gives Ugandan fans another opportunity to see the Jamaican artiste perform live.

DJ Maphorisa, whose work spans DJing and music production, represents South Africa’s Amapiano scene, a style of dance music that has gained a wider audience across Africa and beyond.
The concert is also being promoted under the Explore Uganda initiative, with Swangz Avenue featured in the campaign. Organisers say the event is intended to attract visitors from Uganda and neighbouring countries while showcasing the country’s food, culture, hospitality and tourism attractions.
The first ticket-sale phase lists a Citizen Pass at 20,000 Ugandan shillings and a Diplomat Pass at 80,000 shillings, according to Pulse Uganda’s report on the event.
Organisers have yet to announce the full line-up of supporting performers.
