Cooper Motor Corporation (CMC) introduces the first-Ford Ranger Raptor in Uganda.
Cooper Motor Corporation (CMC) has officially introduced the Ford Ranger Raptor, the first of its kind in Uganda, showcasing Ford’s outstanding expertise in performance vehicle design and engineering.
Speaking at the launch event at the Busiika Motor Rally Track on Wednesday, Richard Musani, the Ford’s brand manager, said Ford Raptor’s arrival technology creates a whole new race of exceptionally efficient off-road vehicles pushing the boundaries in innovation and driving enthusiasm.
Musani said the Raptor is equipped with safety and amenities features that are ideal for off-road and off-road driving. Other driver-assist technologies are also available at the push of a button, he said.
“We are proud to offer our customers the best in off-road performance with the introduction of the amazing Ranger Raptor. With its incredible road certification, aggressive looks and uncompromising capability, we can’t wait for our customers to enjoy the truck on their own soil, ”Musani said.
”Everything about the Ranger Raptor creates the Ranger’s already outstanding sophisticated feel and functional capability and then goes further. In a driving dynamic fun position, this is an exceptionally special vehicle that is designed to praise the newcomer and truly reward the expert. ‘’
Also, Musani added that Ford cars are effective in boosting businesses, and one reason he justifies is forcing most government ministries and companies to defend themselves.
Musani also said that over the years Ford cars have proven to be effective for stimulating businesses even in areas where they are difficult to reach, which is why he justified the fact that most government ministries and agencies had to secure them.
“As we all know, the government is our biggest buyer in the brand new motor vehicle segment. We are proud that Ford has proven and is distinguished by most government ministries and agencies. Most of you have noticed that most of the big and corporate companies like MTN Uganda, Pepsi, Coca Cola, UBL are driving Ford. It has proven to be an operator for business in areas where supplies require personal transportation depending on the different businesses. ‘’
Unlike other vehicles from Ford, the Ranger Raptor is fitted with Ford’s all-new 10-speed automatic transmission, which is made with high-strength steel, aluminium alloys and alloys to improve durability and weight.
It is powered by a new 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine with 157 kW and 500 Nm of torque, fitted with Ford’s advanced 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
The first Ford Ranger Raptor is 51mm high. It has a ground clearance of 283 mm in addition to a wave depth of 850 mm, and a front and rear track 150 mm wide.
Meanwhile, CMC Country Manager Prince Mark Davinson praised the role played by the Ugandan government in creating a peaceful environment that supports investments such as CMC.
He said the government has been supporting them for many years in importing vehicles.
”I would like to express my special appreciation to the Government of Uganda for the peaceful and operational environment for business in Uganda and for supporting our business by purchasing vehicles, trucks and tractors for various ministries and agencies in the country,” he said.
“Over the past four years, we have introduced the Rapid Tax Center, a fast service vehicle. The facility is open to all automotive vehicle brands that may come with any car brand, and we offer a free 20 point check for vehicles, so like a health check of vehicles. ‘’
