The Pennsylvania State Police and the Union County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the death of 47-year-old Rebecca Landrith, a former fashion model, who died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, in Western Buffalo Township.

The woman, who was found Sunday in western Pennsylvania, has been identified as a former Virginia fashion model who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, investigators said.
Rebecca Landrith, 47, was found early Sunday morning at an Interstate 80 interchange in Union County, 120 miles northwest of Philadelphia in central Pennsylvania.
At the time of the discovery, Landrith is believed to have recently travelled through Indiana and Wisconsin, based on receipts found with his body. Union County Coroner Dominic Adamo said Landrith was shot in the head, neck and throat.
Landrith had no ID with her on the discovery, but researchers had the ability, he (Union County District Attorney Peter Johnson) said, to identify her using the fingerprints found on the receipts. Homicide investigators have not yet determined the motive for the massacre.
Landrith, originally from Alexandria, Virginia, had an iStudio page that describes her experience as a model in places around the United States. She was the 2014 finalist for the Miss Manhattan pageant in New York and the same year’s America’s It Girl Miss Lady Liberty.
She was a talented violinist, having previously worked in the legal field, according to her biography.
“Ms Landrith has been a spokesperson for numerous product advertisements, video ads, videos for magazines, businesses and their websites, and several hot-couture run shows, including Fashion Week,” says her biography.
The victim’s brother, George Landrith, told Pennlive Wednesday that Rebecca was the youngest of five siblings. She was never married and separated from the rest of her family five years ago.
Landrith also has links to Utah and South Dakota, investigators said. The inquest into her death continues in the Pennsylvania State Police and Union County District Attorney’s Office.
