All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) will be held 8-11 December 2022. The awards honor musicians, producers, and unrecorded artists.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — The 2022 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) is back. The AFRIMAs are an annual event that celebrates the best of African music. The awards are open to musicians, producers, and unrecorded artists. They will be held on 8-11 December 2022.
The ceremony will feature four days of music, paillettes, and glamour. This event is set to celebrate l’Afrique and break down cultural and economic boundaries.
The awards ceremony will feature four days of music, glitz, and glamour. It is an opportunity for African musicians and producers to shine in the spotlight and earn global recognition.
AFRIMA will also recognize the achievements of African artists and help further the cultural and economic frontiers of the continent. The upcoming ceremony will also feature a live performance by the nominees.
Other nominees include Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage, Ghana’s Amaarae and South Africa’s Costa Titch. The South African musical artist is nominated 6 times and this inlcude: The Best African Collaboration, and Best African Music Video category.
Mbosso, meanwhile, has a collabo with Costa Titch & Phantom Steeze, which earned him a nomination in the Best Male Artist in Eastern Africa category.
Diamond Platnumz with First of All and Rema with Rave & Roses are also up for the Album of the Year. They will be up against Burna Boy, Kabza De Small, and Nomfundo Moh among others.
The African Union Commission and the International Committee of All Africa Music Awards have released the official nominations for the All Africa Music Awards 2022.
Ghana is well represented with nine nominations in 39 categories. Black Sherif is the frontrunner. Other nominees include Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, and Rema. The latter is also in the running for Song of the Year.
