- Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park is a very special place with a wide range of birds in every part. The best bird habitat in the park is the extensive wetland, which culminated in Mburo Lake.
The number of birds around the wetland includes a green-backed woodpecker, a ground hornbill, a white-winged warbler, a yellow-billed apexer and a spot-sidewalk.
- Semuliki National Park
Semuliki National Park in Uganda is located at the northern foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains in a remote corner of southwestern Uganda. The Semuliki is known to be highly desirable, including the Congo Serpent Eagle, the Black-throated Goggle, the Gray-Throat Rail, and the Yellow-throated Knitter. Because birds are easy to spot.
- Budongo forest
The Budongo Forest Area, located in the western part of the country, covers an area of 793 sq km and offers some of the best birding spots in Uganda. Most bird feeding trails in the forest start early in the morning.
This heavily forested area protects rare bird species in Uganda. Black-billed Barbet, Gray-Head Olive Pack and singing cisticola are some of the rare bird species found here. The Busingro area provides the best birding spot in the forest.
- Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park is located in northwestern Uganda, which spreads locally from the shores of Lake Albert. It is Uganda’s largest national park and protects many species of rare bird species.
The park is named after the dramatic Murchison falls, which is a 7 m break from the River Nile to a 47 m range.
Attractive bird species include the shy shoebill, secretary bird, Sacred Ibis, Little Bitton, red-necked falcon, Blue-breasted bee and more.
