At the 2023 Brit Awards, more than 50 artists have been nominated, with global stars like Stormzy and Taylor Swift sharing the stage with newcomers like Central Cee and Mimi Webb.
A British Phonographic Industry award ceremony, The BRITs, has been presented since 1977 and is regarded as the biggest event in British music. This is Burna Boy’s third nomination.
Burna Boy is nominated alongside Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, and Taylor Swift for the ‘International Artist of the Year’ category at the 2023 BRIT Awards.
For his song “Peru” featuring English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, Fireboy DML was nominated for a BRIT Award in the ‘International Song of the Year’ category.
As for Stormzy, the British-Ghanaian rapper racked up three nominations, including Album of the Year, British Artist of the Year, and Best Hip-Hop/Grime/Rap Album.
Among the most nominated artists this year are Harry Styles and rock band Wet Leg, who each received four nominations. Comedian Mo Gilligan will host the BRIT Awards for the second consecutive year.
