Azawi took home five awards at the Buzz Teenz Awards 2021: Teenz Female Artist, Teenz Hottest Song Writer, Teenz Flyest Video, Teenz Song of the Year, and Artiste of the Year.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA (http://lifestyleuganda.com/) — At the 15th annual Buzz Teenz Awards that took place on December 19, 2021, Swangz Avenue singer Azawi, NBS TV, and XFM were among the top winners.
- Pia Pounds, Zex Bilangilangi, An Known, Vinka, and others performed at the event.
- Pallaso on the other hand won ‘Teenz Male Artist’, beating Zex, Fik Fameica, Liam Voice.
- MC Kats received the Buzz Teenz Lifetime Achievement Award during the ceremony.
Several popular celebrities from the entertainment and socialite industries graced the event, including Douglas Lwanga, MC Kats, Naava Grey, Vinka, Solomon Kampala, Shalom Namagembe, among others.
The evening also featured performances by Pia Pounds, Zex Bilangilangi, An Known, and Vinka, among others.
The Ugandan singer-songwriter Priscilla Zawedde, professionally known as Azawi, won five awards at the Buzz Teenz Awards 2021, including Teenz Female Artist, Teenz Hottest Song Writer, Teenz Flyest Video, Teenz Song of the Year, and Artist of the Year.
In this year’s ‘Teenz Artist of the Year’ competition, Azawi beat fellow singers such as Liam Voice, Fik Fameica, and Pallaso.
The ‘Teenz Hottest Song Writer’ category went to Azawi, who beat Daddy Andre, An Known, and Mudra.
Similarly, Azawi was the winner in the highly competitive category of ‘Teenz Female Artist.’ She beat out Pia Pounds, Sheebah, and Spice Diana.
The announcement comes one week after she won Female Artist of the Year and Outstanding Album of the Year (African Music) at the 2021 Janzi awards.
NBS TV, the broadcast arm of Next Media Services, also went home with four awards: Teenz Hottest TV Personality, Teenz TV Show, Teenz TV Station and Life Time Achievement.
The next big winner at the Buzz awards was XFM, the 94.8 radio station. It won four categories: Teenz Hottest Radio Station, Teenz Hottest Radio Program, Teenz Hottest DJ and Teenz Hottest Collabo.
Pallaso beat Zex Bilangilangi, Fik Fameica and Liam Voice in the ‘Teenz Male Artist’ category at the Buzz awards.
Despite competition from Aroma, Zuli Tums and An Known, Zisabusolo Willy – better known as Liam Voice – took home the Teenz Breakout Artist award.
