CNN names Tanzanian recording artist Naseeb Abdul Juma alias Diamond Platnumz among top 10 Africa’s biggest music stars
Over the weekend CNN, an American news-based pay television channel compiled a list of 10 Africa’s biggest music stars and East Africa was proudly represented by Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB Wasafi) founder Diamond Platnumz.
CNN is one of the biggest mainstream media houses has been shaping opinions across the world with a team of experienced experts in almost every field.
And here is the CNN list of 10 Africa’s biggest music stars.

Burna Boy
Nigeria’s Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu aka Burna Boy was nominated for the Best World Music Grammy.

Angelique Kidjo

Tanzanian recording artist, Diamond Platnumz is an award-winning musician. In 2015, he won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Africa, Middle East and India Act.
Yemi Alade
Nigerian born musician, Yemi Alade, gained prominence after winning a Talent Show in 2009 and is best known for her hit single ‘Johnny,’ which has become an international anthem.
In October Ms Alade dropped her 4th Studio Album titled “Woman of Steel”. In 2019 Yemi Alade set multiple YouTube records, and also dropped a career-defining collaboration with Rick Ross.
Tiwa Savage
Tiwa Savage won the Best African Act at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards, becoming the first woman to win the category.
Wizkid
Award-winning Nigerian entertainer, Wizkid has collaborated with multiple international artists including Drake, Wale, Skepta and Beyonce.
Mr Eazi
