KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA (https://lifestyleuganda.com/) — At a gala held on Thursday 9th December 2021, the Couture Africa Style Awards 2021 winners were announced, and much-loved media personalities such as Azziad, Jeff Koinange, Eddy Kenzo, Zari Hassan and Bobi Wine all won awards in various categories.
- Bobi Wine, the Ugandan opposition leader, won the ‘Couture Man 2021’ award.

It was glitz and glamour at the Couture Africa Style Awards 2021. A bow tie gala was held in Kings Prism Towers on Thursday night where the best fashionistas showed up.
The #CAStyleAwards2021, held on December 9 in Nairobi, Kenya saw the media, music, film, and corporate cultures heavyweights walk away with big prizes.
In this year’s Conture awards, Yvonne Okwara, a female television journalist working for Citizen TV, won the award for ‘Most Stylish Female Media Personality’.
Jeff Koinange then won the Couture Africa Style Awards 2021 title of ‘Most Stylish Male Media Personality.’
Idris Sultan, Anto Neosoul, Canary Mugume, Bernard Ndong and Hardik Modi were all nominated for the ‘Most Stylish Male Media Personality’ award, but Koinange beat them all.
Carolyn Kariuki, a Kenyan business executive and CEO of Kenya Private Sector Alliance, won the title of ‘Most Stylish Corporate Woman’ at the Conture Awards.
Then, Polycarp Igathe, the chief commercial officer of Equity Group Holdings and a Kenyan businessman, politician and corporate executive, was recognized as the ‘Most Stylish Corporate Man’.
Esther Muthoni Passaris, a Kenyan social entrepreneur, philanthropist, and politician, was the winner in the ‘Most Stylish Female Public Servant’ category.
Janet Mbugua, Kenya’s famed anchor, actress and media personality, won ‘Couture Woman 2021’ while Tik Tok Queen Azziad Nasenya from Kenya was named ‘Most Stylish Female Content Creator’.
Azziad Nasenya, the 2021 People’s Choice Award nominee, arrived on stage wearing an elegant gold and black shimmery dress to receive her award.
Uganda was well represented at the Couture Africa Style Awards 2021 with Eddy Kenzo, Douglas Lwanga, Zari the Boss Lady, Bobi Wine, and Sheebah Karungi taking the crown for the country.
The ‘Most stylish female entrepreneur’ award went to Zari Hassan, a Ugandan businesswoman, musician and socialite. She beat Joanne Mwangi, Nancie Mwai, Doreen Peter Noni, Lucia Musau and Shreya Karia in the competition.
Douglas Lwanga, the proprietor of Purple party and presenter for NBS After 5, received the award for ‘Most Stylish Male Content Creator’ at the Couture Africa Style Awards 2021.
This award was given to Douglas after beating out a number of competitors including Gee Dufanda, Priyan Solanki, Swank John, Eli Mwenda and Fahad Fouad.
‘Couture Man 2021’ has been awarded to Bobi Wine, alias Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu. Bobi Wine beat off stiff competition from Diamond Platnumz, Marek Fuchs, Brian Ogana, Kagwe Mungai, and Derek Bbanga.
Bobi’s announcement comes at a time when he was named an ‘Outstanding Entrepreneurial Artist’ at the Janzi Awards 2021.
Then, a Ugandan singer and music executive named Eddy Kenzo took home the prize for ‘Most Stylish Male Entertainer’ while Sheebah Karungi won ‘Most Stylish Female Entertainer’ at the 2021 Conture Awards.
The Big Talent Entertainment founder and member took home the award for ‘Most Stylish Male Entertainer’, beating out Okello Max, Brian Ogana, Trio Mio, Jalango and Tanzania’s Rayvanny.
