The song comes with a video directed by Colin Tilley, in which the pair soak up the atmosphere at a bonfire party.
‘Attention’ was released via KeyQaad, and marks Omah Lay’s first single of the year. The single also signals the release of the Afro-fusion act’s debut album Boy Alone, slated for release in April.
Omah Lay’s ‘Attention’ was produced by Harv, who produced Bieber’s hit single, ‘Peaches’. ‘Attention’ represents Justin Bieber’s second collaboration with a top Nigerian artist after he appeared on Wizkid and Tems’ chart-topping ‘Essence’ remix last year.
With ‘Attention’, Omah Lay portrays a persona’s love-me plea to their lover. It adds to his growing catalog of impressive releases, including singles like ‘Damn’ and ‘Godly’.
He is also the voice of the EPs like Get Layd and What Have We Done.
Omah Lay has become one of the most influential figures in African pop music in the past few years. In December, Boomplay, an African streaming platform, named him one of the top three most-streamed male artists in Nigeria.
The musician has worked with big names in the Afrobeats world, including Wizkid, Adekunle Gold, and Olamide. At the 14th Headies Awards, he beat out fellow Nigerian acts Tems, Oxlade, and Bella Shmurda to win the Next Rated Award.
On the other hand, Omah Lay has confirmed a world tour to promote his next album.
The tour will commence in Sydney on April 1, then visit Norway, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, France, UK, Spain, Poland, and the Netherlands in June.
