A press release from Fox stated that two other contestants from the region will compete on this year’s show: Miss Universe United Arab Emirates and Miss Universe Morocco.
Miss Universe Morocco will return to the competition after more than 40 years for the first time since she last took part in the competition. This is the first time a delegate from the United Arab Emirates has competed in the Miss Universe pageant.
On Friday, Bahraini contestant Manar Nadeem Deyani walked out on stage in a fully-covered flowing activewear outfit, garnering loud cheers during the swimsuit round of the Miss Universe 2021 pageant.

A total of 80 contestants wore national dresses as well as gowns at the televised preliminary competition. This year’s global beauty pageant will be held in Israel’s Eilat, and the 70th winner will be crowned on Sunday.
In this year’s pageant, nineteen women will be selected by the jury and one will be selected by voting online.
Although Israel put a ban on foreign entries to its state to prevent the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant, Miss Universe took place despite that ban. Participants were granted waivers and were subjected to PCR testing every 48 hours, according to the country’s tourism minister.
Last month, Israel’s tourism minister Yoel Razvozov said, “This is an event that is going to be broadcast to 174 countries, it’s a very important event, and it’s something we need in Eilat too.”

In honour of the 70th edition of the iconic contest, Emmy Award winner Steve Harvey will host once again. This year, he will be joined by his daughter, Lori Harvey, who will be a member of the jury.
The event will also feature performances by pop star JoJo and Israeli singer Noa Kirel.
The judges’ panel also features supermodel Adriana Lima, our beloved TV host Adamari López, actresses Urvashi Rautela, Rena Sofer, Marian Rivera, and Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere.

This Sunday at 7 pm EST (03:00 on Monday East Africa Time), viewers can watch Miss Universe 2021 on Fox or Telemundo. Contestants from all over the world are competing for the title of Miss Universe 2021.
