Frank Byabazaire: Missing People Power Activist found in Germany with Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Jacob Oulanyah
A 34-year-old people power activist Frank Byabazaire who went missing about 7 months was reunited with his friends, and people power supporters this October after being found in German with Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Jacob Oulanyah.
Since February, Byabazaire Frank has been on search by police for defiance reasons. He was on run from police under police arrest CD/152/2018.
He was hospitalized since the time of harassment from the political rally organized by Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP) Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine.
Fred Enanga, the spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police, confirmed Frank and other suspects were arrested for participating in the People Power Defiance Campaign.
Byabazaire Frank’s CD/152/2018 files are being processed at the CPS police stations.
But this month, Frank’s close friend from Kampala Chloe confirmed he had been found safe in Munich after 7 months on run from the regime.
People power supporters and friends thanked the Uganda-German Association in Munich (UGAM) for their support.
Byabazaire was spotted at the1st Uganda-German International Business Convention with Deputy Speaker of Parliament of Uganda Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah (MP) as Guest Speaker.
He also had a chance to share a word with the Deputy speaker in a chat conversation which lasted for about 10 minutes at the UGAM convention.
The Conference, hosted by the Uganda-German Association in Munich (UGAM), took place in Munich on 21 September 2019 in cooperation with the Uganda Embassy in Berlin.
Many Ugandans and German participants from different ministries, departments and agencies shared key resources to address significant issues in a row.
The Convention was also addressed by H.E. Ambassador Marcel Tibaleka (Uganda ambassador to Germany), Dr Wolfgang Wiedmann, Uganda’s Honorary Consul to Bayern and Baden-Wurttemberg, Ms Judith Nagel and Viktoria Albrecht, both from KPRN network GmbH, and Mr Michael Lwanga, UGAM Chairperson.
The theme of the 1st Uganda-German International Business Convention was “Uganda in a Globalized Market Symposium” and aimed at promoting and marketing Uganda as not only an investment destination but as one of the best tourist destinations in the world.
