Global Music Awards Africa 2022 Nominees: The Complete List

The nominees for the Global Music Awards Africa 2022, or the GMAA, have been released ahead of the ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria.

KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — Global Music Awards Africa 2022, also known as the GMAA, has announced its nominees ahead of the awards ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria.

Aimed at showcasing and rewarding African music talent and creativity, the Global Music Awards Africa (GMAA) is run by Ghana-based event production company Smart Focus Media.

From Nigeria, Mercy Chinwo, Wizkid, and Davido all received nominations for the Global Music Awards Africa 2022.

There are other acts like Diana Hamilton (Ghana), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Winky D (Zimbabwe), and Msaki (South Africa) that have been nominated for the Global Music Awards Africa 2022.

Then, Levixone will represent Uganda at the GMAA 2022 with a nomination for ‘Gospel artist of the year,’ where he will be competing with Diana Hamilton, Mercy Chinwo, Prosper Ochimana, Tope Alabi Mercy Masika, Minister Mahendere, and Ohemaa Mercy.

‘Dancehall Artist of the Year’ nominee Bebe Cool from Uganda will compete with Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Patoranking, Burna Boy and others.

Spice Diana is another Ugandan artist who has been nominated for the Global Music Awards Africa 2022 in the category ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’.

Spice Diana will compete against Tems, Simi, Tiwa Savage and Ayra Starr.

Lastly, both Winnie Nwagi and Sheebah Karungi are nominated for ‘Female Act of the Year’ while A Pass is nominated for ‘Songwriter of the Year’.
