Music career – Nasibu Abdul Juma alias Diamond Platnumz (born October 2, 1989) is a Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist, actor, dancer and a Tandale businessman from Dar es Salaam.
He’s had several hit songs including “Number One” that Nigerian artist Davido featured on.
Diamond has won numerous awards at the Channel O, MTV and HiPipo Music Awards. He took part in the Big Brother Africa 7 eviction show in May 2012.
Diamond is known to be popular among his fans and is currently said to be the most loved and decorated artist from East and Central Africa.
Diamond Platnumz is believed to have been the best-selling Tanzanian ringtone artist by mobile phone companies in 2013, as well as one of the most successful artists in the music industry in the African Great Lakes region.
He also became the first African artist on his YouTube channel to gain as many as 3,000,000 subscribers.
Diamond Platnumz wife Zari Hassan was a Ugandan businesswoman based in South Africa, they were married with two children. He had another child with Hamisa Mobeto – a model after their separation.
After that, he entered into a relationship with Tanasha Donna Oketch – a radio presenter based in Kenya.

His mother was very supportive to give him the gold ring to sell to pay his studio and music productions in 2007. While the song did not sell, Diamond Platnumz did not give up but attributed his lack of professionalism and improved.
In addition to being a singer and songwriter, Diamond Platnumz also plays the piano, guitar, and drums. He is currently under the Wasafi record label.
He is currently under the record label of WCB Wasafi. Diamond Platnumz is the first African musician to own a television and radio station called Wasafi TV and Wasafi Radio.
His achievement may be due to many factors, including good management, recording label, shows and ambassador roles, among others. However, without considering the man who produced his music in WCB studios his success story can not be concluded.

Lizer has played an instrumental role in the success of Chibu Dangote in producing exceptional songs that are always topping charts across the continent.
Diamond and Lizer met in Burundi where he had been working back in the days and he liked his work, according to reports.
When he set up his studio, (Wasafi Classic Baby) Diamond designated Producer Lizer with his studio, and since then he’s never disappointed Platnumz fans.
Known as Magic Fingers, Lizer Classic has been in the production room for over 11 years. His career as a producer began in Kigoma before he crossed over to Burundi for greener pastures.
In addition to his experienced producer, Chibu has a well organized and knowledgeable management team.
He has two East Africa managers. When he has a show in East Africa, the two managers are in charge of ensuring that things run smoothly.
There is also a manager responsible for his shows throughout Africa. This manager ensures that promoters who need Diamond Services comply with all the requirements placed before Platnumz boards.

Diamond Platnumz married the Ugandan businesswoman Zari Hassan, based in South Africa, and they had two children – Latifah Dangote and Prince Nillan.
